Cookie Policy

What cookies this site sets, how they are grouped, what each category does, and how you retain full control over your preferences at any time.

01 — What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your browser across sessions, remember your preferences, and gather anonymous usage data to improve the experience for all visitors.

Cookies do not contain your name, home address, or payment information. They are identified by a name and value pair, along with expiry information and the domain that set them. Browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies at any time through their built-in settings.

Elokan uses cookies in three categories, described below. You may accept all categories, accept a partial selection, or restrict cookies to those that are strictly functional to the activity of the site.

02 — Cookie Categories

Strictly Functional

Always Active

These cookies are necessary for the site to function correctly. They cannot be disabled without breaking core features. They include:

  • session_state — Maintains your consent preferences across page loads. Expires: session.
  • cookie_consent — Records your cookie preference selection to prevent the banner from reappearing. Expires: 12 months.
  • csrf_token — Protects form submissions from cross-site request forgery. Expires: session.

Analytics

Optional

Analytics cookies allow us to understand how visitors engage with our content in aggregate. No personally identifiable data is stored. All measurements are anonymised at the point of collection.

  • _ga — Google Analytics. Registers a unique identifier used to generate statistical data on site use. Expires: 2 years.
  • _ga_* — Google Analytics session persistence. Expires: 2 years.
  • _gid — Google Analytics. Registers a unique visitor identifier stored for 24 hours. Expires: 24 hours.

Analytics cookies are only placed if you select "Accept All" or "Accept Partial" from the cookie banner. They can be withdrawn at any time via Cookie Settings in the footer.

Performance

Optional

Performance cookies improve page load speed and the reliability of embedded content by caching assets and preferences at the edge. These are set by CDN infrastructure used to deliver fonts, icons, and interactive scripts.

  • __cf_bm — Cloudflare. Manages bot traffic and supports rate-limiting. Expires: 30 minutes.
  • cf_clearance — Cloudflare. Stores clearance status to prevent repeated verification checks. Expires: 30 minutes.
03 — Managing Cookies

Via the Cookie Banner

Your preference can be reviewed or changed at any time by clicking Cookie Settings in the footer of any page. This will re-open the consent banner and allow you to select a new preference. The change takes effect immediately and is stored for twelve months, after which the banner will appear again.

Available Choices
Accept All
Enables functional, analytics, and performance cookies.
Accept Partial
Enables functional and analytics cookies only.
Functional Only

Via Your Browser

All major browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies independently of any site-level preference. Instructions for the most widely used browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

Note that blocking all cookies may affect the functionality of this and other sites you visit.

04 — Third-Party Cookies

Certain functionality on this site relies on third-party services that may set their own cookies. These services are listed in Category 2 (Analytics) and Category 3 (Performance) above. Elokan does not control the cookie behaviour of these external services once they are activated, and their respective privacy policies govern that data.

Google Maps embeds on the contact page may set cookies from Google LLC when you interact with the map. These are subject to Google's own privacy terms. The map only loads when you access the contact page and does not set cookies on any other page.

This policy was last reviewed in January 2026. Any material additions to the cookie list will be reflected here with a revised date. Continued use of the site after a policy revision constitutes acknowledgement of the updated terms.
